Pardubice (Monday, 23/5/2011 - Half-day trip)

Price: 20€ (transport, guide)

Regional capital, city historical reservation (Zelená brána – Green gate, church of Saint Bartholomew, Pernstejn square with city hall and old burgher´s houses), renaissance state castle, city theatre in secession style, famous turf stadium for steeple chase (Great Pardubice steeple chase), speedway stadium (Golden helmet), modern ice hockey arena.

Litomyšl (Tuesday, 24/5/2011 – Whole day trip) and
Veselý Kopec (Merry Hill)

Price: 45€ (transport, guide, Litomysl castle - ticket, Vesely Kopec - ticket)

Litomyšl - Smaller town of East Bohemia with urban historical reservation with typical arcades on the main square, birth-place of famous music composer Bedřich Smetana, the host town of summit of Central European presidents in 1994. The renaissance castle founded in 16th century with grafitti plaster – listed by UNESCO. Inside is collection of furniture and pictures, original nice theatre, modern open-air theatre in the castle atrium.

Veselý Kopec (Merry Hill) - The folk open-air museum (skansen) Veselý Kopec comprises numerous collection of rustic houses and buildings. Predominantly timbered houses and buildings such as farm-house, dormitory for rented labourers, flour mill, oil mill, barn, etc, were originally located in much greater region of the inland highland Českomoravská vysočina. The objects, mostly created in 19th century, were bought and relocated to this sloped area. The houses are equipped with old original furniture and tools. Some houses can be entered. The skansen is on some occasions such as the Easter, Christmas and fairs inhabited by voluntary artisans showing how they create their products.

Žleby (Wednesday, 25/5/2011 – Half day trip)

Price: 30€ (transport, guide, Žleby castle - ticket)

Žleby - from the morning till the noon only, half-day trip, 15 km west of Seč. Originally gothic fortress founded before 1289. After destrustion in Hussite wars reconstructed in Renaissance and Baroque style into todays romantic appearance. Interiors hide original historical monuments as well as souvenirs and antiquities collected from the whole Europe.

Kutná Hora (Wednesday, 25/5/2011 – Evening trip)

Price: included in participation fee

Kutná Hora - Historic medieval town centre listed by UNESCO – gothic cathedral of Saint Barbara, gothic church of Saint Jacob, Vlašský dvůr – Italian yard - administrative and economical centre of Czech kingdom (in 14th and 15th century), medieval silver mine, gothic town well, ossuary-charnel-house in near-by Sedlec.
Included in the conference programme with collective dinner for all participants and accompanying persons.

Praha (Prague) (Friday, 27/5/2011 – Whole day trip)

Price: 25€ (guide, luggage keeping)

Praha (Prague) - Capital of Czech Republic, historical centre UNESCO listed, with following recommended places of interest:
Hradčany (Loreta – church and religious treasury, Prague royal castle – Wladislaw´s hall, Saint Vittus cathedral, Saint George church, National gallery, Belvedere – summer villa of queen Anna with so called singing fountain, ball-game house in the royal garden, castle gardens, outlook to the city panorama).
Walk tour through the Old city (Neruda street, city gardens, Kampa, Pražské Jezulátko – Prague Baby, Charles´s stone bridge, Clementinum, Old city square - horologe, Týnský church, Saint Nicolas church, aristocratic palaces, Bethlehem chapel, museums, galleries, Carolinum)
Jewish ghetto – old-new synagogue and State Jewish museum, Old Jewish cemetery, Meisel´s synagogue, Spanish synagogue. Near-by is Rudolfinum – now a gallery and concert hall.
Commercial centre of the city – Náměstí republiky, Příkopy - Graben, Václavské náměstí – Wenceslaus square with National Museum, Národní třída with National Theatre
Vyšehrad (old fortress, Saint Peter and Paul cathedral, Romanic chapel, Slavín-national cemetery, nice overlook to the river and opposite panorama of Prague castle). Near-by – congress centre (place of important summits and congresses)
